The donation of an unused vehicle, boat, RV or other item is quickly becoming one of the most popular ways for individuals to support their favorite organizations. When administered properly, Vehicle Donation Programs can raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for the benefiting organization. How does "donating a vehicle to charity" work?
We have made the process as easy as possible for you. Simply select an organization that you would like to support and notify us of your desire to donate, either by completing the simple online donation form, or by contacting us directly at 602-716-9826. We will arrange a time, at your convenience, to have the vehicle picked up free of charge, handle all necessary MVD and IRS documentation, and make certain that all of your questions are answered. We will then bring the vehicle to our donation center where it will be examined and repaired if necessary; it will then be cleaned inside and out and sold at our public auction. The proceeds are then forwarded to the benefiting organization. In some instances the charity may actually put the donated vehicle to use with in their organization, or give the vehicle to qualified families in need.

How do I know that my donation will benefit my local community?
All of our organizations are reputable well know charities that offer services within this community. We only work with local charities, so you can be assured that your donation will help those in need within your community. Learn more about each of these fine charities .

Is my donation tax deductible?
Absolutely! We have ensured that all of our organizations qualify as non-profit organizations under IRS regulation 501-3C. Any donation will qualify for a deduction. Individual tax situations will vary, so please contact your tax professional to find out how the deduction will benefit you individually.

How do I know if I can take the deduction on my taxes?
Whether or not you will be able to take the deduction is dependant on your individual tax situation, however, generally if you pay income taxes you will be able to take the deduction. You will have to itemize your deductions in order to take advantage of your charitable contribution.

How do I know how much to claim for the vehicle I donated?
Prior to January 1, 2005 the IRS regulations stated that you were allowed to take the "Fair Market Value" of the vehicle as a deduction on your income taxes. In October of 2002, the IRS issued a clarification stating that a donor may utilize a reputable market guide, such as the Kelley Blue Book or NADA Guides, as the basis for deteining the fair market value of a donated vehicle. If the vehicle had a value of more than $5,000 then an independent appraisal is required by the IRS. 

As of January 1, 2005, congress reformed the rules governing the amount that can be claimed as a deduction by an individual for donating a vehicle to charity. Under the new regulations, a person who donates their vehicle to charity, may claim $500 or the "gross sale amount" received by the charity when vehicle is sold as a deduction on their income taxes.

Does the vehicle have to be running?
No, in most cases we will gladly accept any vehicle in any condition, running or not. The only exception to this is if the vehicle is in such poor condition that its salvage value would be less than the cost of towing the vehicle.

What do I need to donate my vehicle?
Of course we will need the title to the vehicle, however, should you not be able to locate the title we can obtain a duplicate for you.

How long will it take to pick up my vehicle?
In most instances we can pick up your vehicle the same or next day. In any event you will hear from us the within 24 hours after your completion of the online donation form . Should you require immediate pick up of your vehicle please contact us at 602-716-9826, and we will make every effort to accommodate your request.

How much of the money from my vehicle will actually go to the charity?
FasTrak Charity Auctions is a non-profit organization, as such 100% of the proceeds from the sale of your vehicle goes to support non-profit organizations. FasTrak charges set fees for the towing, reconditioning and sale of the vehicle that average $107.00 per vehicle. All other proceeds from the sale of the vehicle are forwarded to the organization you selected to donate your vehicle to. This flat fee schedule has enabled FasTrak to return, on average, more than 70% of all the proceeds received back to the charities that received the donated vehicle.

As the agent for these organizations, is FasTrak licensed insured and bonded?
Absolutely! We are licensed and bonded, as well, we carry a comprehensive liability insurance policy of more than $1,000,000.00 to ensure your protection , the charities protection, and the protection of your vehicle.
